How Fur Family Began

Fur Family was born from love, challenges, and lived experience as a truly pet-friendly family. We are a family-owned business, and our journey began not as entrepreneurs, but as pet parents doing our best to care for our own fur family.

Our Persian cat, Coffee, has been with us since he was just three months old. When we adopted him, he came with a fungal infection that later developed into severe ringworm. Finding the right veterinary care was difficult, and the treatment journey lasted nearly six months. Coffee had to live in strict isolation during this time, which deeply affected his personality. He grew into a cat who preferred solitude and developed low immunity, making him prone to allergies and sensitivities, especially to cat litter. We tried countless options, yet none truly worked for him. Despite all this, Coffee remained playful, running around the house and filling our lives with joy.

Our daughter Hiya was almost seven years old when Coffee came into our lives. She formed a deep bond with him, and her love for animals only grew stronger over the years. A few years later, we welcomed Cookie, a German Spitz, into our family when he was three months old. Fortunately, Cookie has been healthy, adding even more happiness and energy to our home. Watching and caring for Coffee and Cookie shaped Hiya’s childhood, and by the age of ten, she had already decided that she wanted to become a veterinarian.

Behind the scenes of our fur family has always been Rachana, a devoted pet parent and the backbone of this journey. She made countless sacrifices, including giving up holidays, to stay with our pets and avoid boarding facilities where animals are often stressed, mistreated, or fall ill. Her commitment to their wellbeing taught us that pet care is not just about products, but about responsibility, empathy, and informed choices.

As the years passed, we realized a bigger problem. Good quality pet care products were either unavailable or unaffordable for middle-class families. This gap often led to health, hygiene, and behavioral issues in pets, not due to lack of love, but lack of access to the right solutions. With Hiya now studying veterinary medicine, and with the hands-on experience Rachana gained over the years, a shared dream began to take shape.

That dream became Fur Family.

We launched Fur Family in 2025 with a clear purpose: to build a brand that delivers premium quality pet care products at reasonable prices, without compromise. Our goal is not only to manufacture pet supplies under strict quality guidelines, but also to educate pet parents on how to care better for their companions so they can live healthier, happier, and longer lives.

Today, Fur Family is closely monitored by Hiya through her veterinary knowledge and passion, and executed with dedication by Rachana. In the years to come, once Hiya graduates, she plans to join the family business full time and take Fur Family to even greater heights.
